Global Food Traceability Forum (GFTF)
Background
The Product Surety Center (PSC) is now the U.S. correspondent for the newly formed Global Food Traceability Forum (GFT Forum). The GFT Forum was established by Ian G. Smith (AIM Europe), Professor Anthony Furness (UCE Technology Innovation Centre), and Dr. Ian Russell (Codeway) who coordinated FoodTracE. FoodTraceE is a European commission concerted action project that has developed a generic framework for full chain traceability. During this project, Smith, Furness, and Russell recognized an acute need for increased international networking and communication on the entire subject of food traceability.
